When Everything Pulls You Apart, Come Back to Your Center

There are days when you feel scattered before the day is even over. Too many demands, too much noise, too many things to hold all at once. In those moments, what helps most is not doing more, but finding a point of inner recentering.

Try this very simple gesture: sit down for a few moments, place both hands one over the other at the center of your chest, and let your breathing slow down without forcing it. Stay there for three slightly longer exhales. It is not dramatic, but it can be enough to remind the body that it does not need to stay on alert in every direction at once.
